July and early August are somewhat slow on the bay.  It is the time I head to the Sierras for some trout fishing and rest and relaxation.  I'll fish the bay myself, but usually do not book trips.  

This Spring saw some good fishing beginning in March.  It continued on and off through June.

Fishing will pick up sometime between late August and mid-September and will continue into November.  My favorite time of year by far!

Reports from last Fall...  

The stripers are back.  The fishing started late this year with late October and early November providing the best fishing in years.  Trips are averaging 2 to 10 fish, sometimes more.  Mostly schoolies in the 2 to 5# range with occasional larger fish.

Update ... as of November 10th the fishing remains good.  A slow day would be 3 to 5 fish.  A good day like today 15 to 20.  The stripers are just in from the ocean ... beautiful and full of spunk.  Most trips are producing at least one fish in the 6 to 12# range.
